The 8th ISNSC will be held in August 2016 in Brisbane (Australia) organised by Prof. Chengzhou (Michael) Yu (University of Queensland, Australia). The 9th ISNSC will be held in September 2017 in Naples (Italy) organised by Prof. Martino Di Serio (Universita` di Napoli Federico II, Italy). We sincerely thank the organising committee and the participants who attended the 6th ISNSC and contributed to making it a big success. We look forward to seeing them again not only at the 7th ISNSC but also at the hereafter. We also thank all of the authors who willingly contributed to this issue. Finally, thanks are also due the Journal of Inclusion Phenomena & Macrocyclic Chemistry for making this Special Issue possible.
The 6th International Symposium on Nano & Supramole
cular Chemistry (ISNSC) was held in Bali, Indonesia,
10–14 August 2014, with 130 scientists from all over the
world presenting their recent research. The occasion
provided an outstanding opportunity for exchanging research
experience and ideas across a wide range of
interdisciplinary topics that included chemistry, nano-technology,
engineering, biology and medicine. The scientific program
included short talks by students aimed at providing them
with the opportunity to present their work orally to
international audience.
The meeting was dedicated to celebration of the 70th
birthdays of two outstanding chemists, Profs. Jack M.
Harrowfield and Jacques Vicens. This special issue is also
dedicated to commemorating their outstanding
achievements in chemistry [1]. This issue contains various focus
and research articles, including one review article, as well
as 33 original articles.
The next 7th ISNSC will be held on August 14–17,
2015, immediately following the 48th General Assembly &
45th World Chemistry Congress of the IUPAC in Busan,
South Korea. It is being organised by Profs. Yang Kim
(Kosin University, S. Korea), Shinya Hayami (Kumamoto
