Three dimensional view of the SYK/AdS duality

We show that the spectrum of the SYK model can be interpreted as that of a 3D scalar coupled to gravity. The scalar has a mass which is at the Breitenholer-Freedman bound of AdS2, and subject to a delta function potential at the center of the interval along the third direction. This, through Kaluza-Klein procedure on AdS2 × (S 1)/Z 2, generates the spectrum reproducing the bi...

Bi-local holography in the SYK model: perturbations

We continue the study of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model in the Large N limit. Following our formulation in terms of bi-local collective fields with dynamical reparametrization symmetry, we perform perturbative calculations around the conformal IR point. These are based on an ε expansion which allows for analytical evaluation of correlators and finite temperature quantities.

Bulk from bi-locals in Thermo field CFT

We study the Large N dynamics of the O(N) field theory in the Thermo field dynamics approach. The question of recovering the high temperature phase and the corresponding O(N) gauging is clarified. Through the associated bi-local representation we discuss the emergent bulk space-time and construction of (Higher spin) fields. We note the presence of ‘evanescent’ modes in this...

Thermofield duality for higher spin Rindler Gravity

We study the Thermo-field realization of the duality between the Rindler-AdS higher spin theory and O(N) vector theory. The CFT represents a decoupled pair of free O(N) vector field theories. It is shown how this decoupled domain CFT is capable of generating the connected Rindler-AdS background with the full set of Higher Spin fields.

Bi-local holography in the SYK model

We discuss large N rules of the Sachdev-Ye-Kitaev model and the bi-local representation of holography of this theory. This is done by establishing 1/N Feynman rules in terms of bi-local propagators and vertices, which can be evaluated following the recent procedure of Polchinski and Rosenhaus. These rules can be interpreted as Witten type diagrams of the dual AdS theory, which we...

Holography as a gauge phenomenon in Higher Spin duality

Employing the world line spinning particle picture. We discuss the appearance of several different ‘gauges’ which we use to gain a deeper explanation of the Collective/Gravity identification. We discuss transformations and algebraic equivalences between them. For a bulk identification we develop a ‘gauge independent’ representation where all gauge constraints are eliminated. This...
