Research on precision management of farming season based on big data

In order to strengthen the scientific management of saline-alkali land and the accurate management of agricultural production, a scientific data governance platform for saline-alkali land was developed. Based on the data accumulation of big data platform, the relationship between wheat growth and meteorology was taken as the research object. Thirteen variables including...

Quantitative analysis of factors that affect oil pipeline network accident based on Bayesian networks: A case study in China

Some factors can affect the consequences of oil pipeline accident and their effects should be analyzed to improve emergency preparation and emergency response. Although there are some qualitative analysis models of risk factors’ effects, the quantitative analysis model still should be researched. In this study, we introduce a Bayesian network (BN) model of risk factors’ effects...

Failure mechanism analysis of asphalt–aggregate systems subjected to direct shear loading

In order to investigate the mechanical behavior of asphalt–aggregate systems subjected to direct shear loading and reveal the shear failure mechanism, four groups of direct shear tests were conducted on composite specimens under different experimental conditions with a self-manufactured direct shear test apparatus at 25 °C. Comparative studies were conducted to evaluate the...

Non-orthogonal multiple access in a downlink multiuser beamforming system with limited CSI feedback

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) has been recognized as a promising multiple access technology for fifth generation (5G) mobile communication system. However, the advantage of NOMA is only verified under the ideal condition that the transmitter has the perfect knowledge of channel state information (CSI). In this paper, NOMA downlink multiuser system, in which the...

Classification and criteria of limit cases for singular second-order linear equations with complex coefficients on time scales

The main object of this paper is to establish the classification and some criteria of the limit cases for singular second-order linear equations with complex coefficients on time scales. According to the number of linearly independent solutions in suitable weighted square integrable spaces, this class of equations is classified into cases I, II, and III. Moreover, the exact...

Enhanced Stability of Gold Magnetic Nanoparticles with Poly(4-styrenesulfonic acid-co-maleic acid): Tailored Optical Properties for Protein Detection

Gold magnetic nanoparticles (GoldMag) have attracted great attention due to their unique physical and chemical performances combining those of individual Fe3O4 and Au nanoparticles. Coating GoldMag with polymers not only increases the stability of the composite particles suspended in buffer but also plays a key role for establishing point-of-care optical tests for clinically...

Nitrogen addition shifts the microbial community in the rhizosphere of Pinus tabuliformis in Northwestern China

Atmospheric nitrogen (N) deposition profoundly alters the soil microbial communities and will thus affect nutrient cycles. The effects of N availability on microbial community, however, are not clear. We used PLFA analysis to evaluate the effects of a gradient of N addition (0, 2.8, 5.6, 11.2, and 22.4 g N m-2 y-1) for three years on the rhizospheric microbial community of Pinus...

Existence of positive solutions to elliptic problems involving the fractional Laplacian

This paper focuses on the following elliptic problem involving a fractional Laplacian: ( − Δ ) α u + V ( x ) u = f ( u ) in  R N , where N ≥ 2 , α ∈ ( 0 , 1 ) , ( − Δ ) α stands for the fractional Laplacian. Using some variational methods, we obtain the existence of positive solutions without compactness conditions. MSC: 34A08, 35A15, 58E30.

A New Model-CELBF for Medical Image Segmentation Based on Image Entropy

A new model (named CELBF) for medical image segmentation based on LBF and image entropy is proposed in this paper. We introduced image entropy to deal with the inhomogeneity of image gray level. Some real medical images are processed by using this new model and finite difference algorithm. The results show that new model improves the speed of segmentation and increases noise...
