High energy QCD at NLO: from light-cone wave function to JIMWLK evolution

Soft components of the light cone wave-function of a fast moving projectile hadron is computed in perturbation theory to the third order in QCD coupling constant. At this order, the Fock space of the soft modes consists of one-gluon, two-gluon, and a quark-antiquark states. The hard component of the wave-function acts as a non-Abelian background field for the soft modes and is ...

Anomalous transport from holography: part II

This is a second study of chiral anomaly-induced transport within a holographic model consisting of anomalous \(U(1)_V\times U(1)_A\) Maxwell theory in Schwarzschild–AdS\(_5\) spacetime. In the first part, chiral magnetic/separation effects (CME/CSE) are considered in the presence of a static spatially inhomogeneous external magnetic field. Gradient corrections to CME/CSE are ...

Anomalous transport from holography. Part I

We revisit the transport properties induced by the chiral anomaly in a charged plasma holographically dual to anomalous U(1) V ×U(1) A Maxwell theory in Schwarzschild-AdS5. Off-shell constitutive relations for vector and axial currents are derived using various approximations generalising most of known in the literature anomaly-induced phenomena and revealing some new ones. In a ...

QCD unitarity constraints on Reggeon Field Theory

We point out that the s-channel unitarity of QCD imposes meaningful constraints on a possible form of the QCD Reggeon Field Theory. We show that neither the BFKL nor JIMWLK nor Braun’s Hamiltonian satisfy the said constraints. In a toy, zero transverse dimensional case we construct a model that satisfies the analogous constraint and show that at infinite energy it indeed tends to a ...

U(1) current from the AdS/CFT: diffusion, conductivity and causality

For a holographically defined finite temperature theory, we derive an off-shell constitutive relation for a global U(1) current driven by a weak external non-dynamical electromagnetic field. The constitutive relation involves an all order gradient expansion resummed into three momenta-dependent transport coefficient functions: diffusion, electric conductivity, and “magnetic” ...

Linearly resummed hydrodynamics in a weakly curved spacetime

We extend our study of all-order linearly resummed hydrodynamics in a flat space [1, 2] to fluids in weakly curved spaces. The underlying microscopic theory is a finite temperature \( \mathcal{N}=4 \) super-Yang-Mills theory at strong coupling. The AdS/CFT correspondence relates black brane solutions of the Einstein gravity in asymptotically locally AdS5 geometry to relativistic ...

Linearized fluid/gravity correspondence: from shear viscosity to all order hydrodynamics

In ref. [1], we reported a construction of all order linearized fluid dynamics with strongly coupled \( \mathcal{N} \) =4 super-Yang-Mills theory as underlying microscopic description. The linearized fluid/gravity correspondence makes it possible to resum all order derivative terms in the fluid stress tensor. Dissipative effects are fully encoded by the shear term and a new one, ...

Hydrodynamics dual to Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity: all-order gradient resummation

Relativistic hydrodynamics dual to Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity in asymptotic AdS5 space is under study. To linear order in the amplitude of the fluid velocity and temperature, we derive the fluid’s stress-energy tensor via an all-order resummation of the derivative terms. Each order is accompanied by new transport coefficients, which all together could be compactly absorbed into ...

NLO JIMWLK evolution unabridged

In ref. [1] we presented the JIMWLK Hamiltonian for high energy evolution of QCD amplitudes at the next-to-leading order accuracy in α s . In the present paper we provide details of our original derivation, which was not reported in [1], and provide the Hamiltonian in the form appropriate for action on color singlet as well as color nonsinglet states. The rapidity evolution of the ...

Conformal symmetry of JIMWLK evolution at NLO

We construct the Next to Leading Order JIMWLK Hamiltonian for high energy evolution in \( \mathcal{N} \) = 4 SUSY theory, and show that it possesses conformal invariance, even though it is derived using sharp cutoff on rapidity variable. The conformal transformation properties of Wilson lines are not quite the naive ones, but at NLO acquire an additional anomalous piece. We ...

KLWMIJ Reggeon field theory beyond the large N c limit

We extend the analysis of KLWMIJ evolution in terms of QCD Reggeon fields beyond leading order in the 1/N c expansion. We show that there is only one type of corrections to the leading order Hamiltonian discussed in [1]. These are terms linear in original Reggeons and quadratic in conjugate Reggeon operators. All of these have the interpretation as vertices of the “‘merging”’ type ...

Reggeon field theory for large Pomeron loops

We analyze the range of applicability of the high energy Reggeon Field Theory H RFT derived in [1]. We show that this theory is valid as long as at any intermediate value of rapidity η throughout the evolution at least one of the colliding objects is dilute. Importantly, at some values of η the dilute object could be the projectile, while at others it could be the target, so that H ...
