A systematic study of mass spectra and strong decay of strange mesons

The mass spectrum of the kaon family is analyzed by the modified Godfrey–Isgur model with a color screening effect approximating the kaon as a heavy–light meson system. This analysis gives us the structure and possible assignments of the observed kaon candidates, which can be tested by comparing the theoretical results of their two-body strong decays with the experimental data...

Evidence conflict measure based on OWA operator in open world

Dempster-Shafer evidence theory has been extensively used in many information fusion systems since it was proposed by Dempster and extended by Shafer. Many scholars have been conducted on conflict management of Dempster-Shafer evidence theory in past decades. However, how to determine a potent parameter to measure evidence conflict, when the given environment is in an open world...

A periodic boundary value problem for nonlinear singular differential systems with ‘maxima’

In this paper, by using the method of quasilinearization to discuss the periodic boundary value problem for a nonlinear singular differential system with ‘maxima’, we obtain monotone iterative sequences of approximate solutions which converge uniformly and quadratically to the solution of the nonlinear singular differential system with ‘maxima’. Exploring the \(\Upsilon (6S)\rightarrow \chi _{bJ}\phi \) and \(\Upsilon (6S)\rightarrow \chi _{bJ}\omega \) hidden-bottom hadronic transitions

In this work, we investigate the hadronic loop contributions to the \(\Upsilon (6S) \rightarrow \chi _{bJ} \phi ~(J=0,1,2)\) along with \(\Upsilon (6S) \rightarrow \chi _{bJ} \omega ~(J=0,1,2)\) transitions. We predict that the branching ratios of \(\Upsilon (6S) \rightarrow \chi _{b0} \phi \), \(\Upsilon (6S) \rightarrow \chi _{b1} \phi \) and \(\Upsilon (6S) \rightarrow \chi _...

Implication of the observed \(e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrow p{\bar{p}}\pi ^0\) for studying the \(p{\bar{p}}\rightarrow \psi (3770)\pi ^0\) process

We study the charmonium \(p \bar{p} \rightarrow \psi (3770) \pi ^0\) reaction using the effective Lagrangian approach where the contributions from well-established \(N^*\) states are considered, and all parameters are fixed in the process of \(e^+e^- \rightarrow p \bar{p}\pi ^0\) at center of mass energy \(\sqrt{s} = 3.773\) GeV. The experimental data on the line shape of the...

Origin and depositional model of deep-water lacustrine sandstone deposits in the 7th and 6th members of the Yanchang Formation (Late Triassic), Binchang area, Ordos Basin, China

Sandstones attributed to different lacustrine sediment gravity flows are present in the 7th and 6th members of the Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin, China. These differences in their origins led to different sandstone distributions which control the scale and connectivity of oil and gas reservoirs. Numerous cores and outcrops were analysed to understand the origins of these...

Hidden-charm decays of X(3915) and Z(3930) as the P-wave charmonia

In this work, we investigate the $X(3915)$ and $Z(3930)$ decays into $J/\psi \omega$ with the $\chi _{c0}^\prime (2P)$ and $\chi _{c2}^\prime (2P)$ assignments to $X(3915)$ and $Z(3930)$, respectively. The results show that the decay width of $Z(3930)\to J/\psi \omega$ is at least one order smaller than that of $X(3915)\to J/\psi \omega$. This observation explains why only one...

Predictions of the hidden-charm molecular states with the four quark components

In this work, we study the \(T\bar{T}\)-type molecular systems systematically via the one pion exchange model, where T denotes the narrow \(J^P=1^+\) \(D_1\) meson or \(2^+\) \(D_2^*\) meson and \(\bar{T}\) is its antiparticle. With the effective potentials, we try to find the bound-state solutions of the corresponding systems, which provide crucial information of whether \(T\bar...

Orthogonal experiment design of EMI of security monitoring system in coal mines

Security monitoring system of coal mines is indispensable to ensure the safe and efficient production of colliery. Due to the special and narrow underground field of the coal mine, the electromagnetic interference can cause a series of misstatements and false positives on the monitoring system, which will severely hamper the safe production of coal industry. In this paper, first...

Searching for hidden-charm baryonium signals in QCD sum rules

We give an explicit QCD sum rule investigation for hidden-charm baryonium states with the quark content \(u\bar{u} d\bar{d} c\bar{c}\), spin \(J=0/1/2/3\), and of both positive and negative parities. We systematically construct the relevant local hidden-charm baryonium interpolating currents, which can actually couple to various structures, including hidden-charm baryonium states...

Salt tolerance of a wild ecotype of vetiver grass (Vetiveria zizanioides L.) in southern China

Background Vetiver grass (Vetiveria zizanioides L.) is widely used in more than 120 countries for land management (e.g. rehabilitation of saline lands). A wild ecotype of vetiver grass was found in southern China in the 1950s, but little is known about its adaptability to saline stress. For the purpose of understanding its tolerance to salinity as well as corresponding tolerance...

QCD sum rule study of hidden-charm pentaquarks

We study the mass spectra of hidden-charm pentaquarks having spin \(J = {1\over 2}/{3\over 2}/{5\over 2}\) and quark contents \(uud c \bar{c}\). We systematically construct all the relevant local hidden-charm pentaquark currents, and we select some of them to perform QCD sum rule analyses. We find that the \(P_c(4380)\) and \(P_c(4450)\) can be identified as hidden-charm...
