EL CARIOTIPO DE BOMAREA PATINII BAKER SUBSP. PATINII (ALSTROEMERIACEAE)

The karyotype oí Bomarea patinii Baker subsp. patinii from Colombia was examined. The species has a karyotype 2n = 2x= 18, with a haploid formula 2m + lsm+ 5st+ lt-sat. The reported karyotype is asymmetric (Asl %= 75.51). The most of the chromosomes are acrocentric. This results are compared with other species oiBomarea from South America.

REDESCUBRIMIENTO DE UNA ESPECIE DE CALCEOLARIA (CALCEOLARIACEAE)

The species Calceolaria reicheana, nomen nudum, was rediscovered in the Metropolitan Region, Chile. It is considered as a valid species, described and renamed as Calceolaria espinosae. A new locality is also recorded.

PLANTAS VASCULARES DE LOS RIOS BAKER Y PASCUA, REGION DE AISEN, CHILE

The results of the excursion made during 2006-07 to the basins of Baker and Pascua rivers on the Chilean Patagonia are reported. There are 342 taxa of vascular plants, 302 on the Baker River, and 124 on the Pascua River. The families with higher numbers were Poaceae (52), Asteraceae (50) and Cyperaceae (15). Four endemics species were found on the basin of Baker River.
