Life is delightful when a little pig escapes not only the big bad wolf but
the entire story as well! He persuades the next little piggy to adventure
into the unstructured space between drawings. Soon all three piggies,
a dragon, and a wondering cat are safely enjoying one another’s
company in the red brick house whilst supping on alphabet soup with
ingredients stolen from the text.
This is such a fun version of the three little pigs. Fairytales are all about
escapism, and this one takes that joy to the next level. The illustrations
while the story is in motion are a little flat, but become more detailed
and robust as creatures make their escape. This adds a wonderful
element to the story. Don’t settle for the every-day, pick up this book
and make your own escape into its intriguing twists and turns.
