The role of folklore in developing children’s speech, thinking, and moral qualities is analyzed. Preschool education is one of the most important stages in a child's life. It is during this period that the child begins to form as a person, his speech, thinking, memory, emotions and social relations develop. Therefore, the upbringing provided in the preschool education process must be meaningful, well-thought-out and based on national values. Folklore, which is an integral part of our national values, is an important tool for the comprehensive development of children. Folklore is a rich cultural heritage created by the people for centuries and passed down from generation to generation. It embodies human qualities, life experiences, wisdom and national spirit. Introducing preschool children to examples of folk folklore performance not only develops their speech, but also forms their imagination, thinking, moral views and aesthetic taste. Especially in today's era of globalization, it is an urgent — 10 — https://jiujournal.org/index.php/ijlls Vol.1 No.2 task to educate children in the national spirit, to bring them up in the spirit of respect for their roots. This article extensively covers the theoretical foundations, pedagogical significance, methods, tools, and role in modern education of introducing preschool children to folk folklore performances. Folklore is the oral work of the people, which includes fairy tales, proverbs, sayings, riddles, allas, quick sayings and many other genres. Each genre has its own educational and didactic value. The main characteristics of folklore are: • folklorism; • simplicity and clarity; • richness of content; • educational orientation; • memorability. Preschool children quickly perceive simple, short and figurative materials. In this regard, folklore is fully consistent with their age. Fairy tales are the most widespread and most interesting genre of folklore for children. Through fairy tales, children learn to distinguish between good and evil, analyze events and draw conclusions. The impact of fairy tales on children: • develops imagination and fantasy; • increases the richness of speech; • forms logical thinking; • provides moral education.  For example, in folk tales, good always triumphs. This forms a positive worldview in children. The child imitates the heroes and tries to apply their actions to his own life.  Proverbs are the shortest and most concise expression of folk wisdom. They teach children life lessons. Each proverb carries a deep meaning. — 11 — https://jiujournal.org/index.php/ijlls Vol.1 No.2  Riddles, on the other hand, develop children's thinking skills. Through them, the child learns to analyze the signs and properties of things.  For example:  • Riddles develop thinking;  • Speech becomes fluent through rapid sayings;  • Moral concepts are strengthened through proverbs.  Alla is an expression of maternal love and plays an important role in the child's spiritual development. Through allas, the child calms down, feels safe, and the emotional connection with the mother is strengthened.  The importance of alla:  • stabilizes the child's mental state;  • improves the quality of sleep;  • develops musical taste;  • strengthens the bond between mother and child.  Folklore performance is the expressive telling, singing or staging of folklore samples. This process increases activity and creativity in children.  Main forms:  • staged fairy tales;  • puppet theaters;  • group performances;  • individual performances;  These forms develop children's skills in teamwork, self-expression, and free movement on stage.  The following methods are effective in introducing children to folklore:  Demonstrative method  The demonstrative method is based on children's learning through sight. In this method, the educator explains fairy tales or other folklore examples using pictures, illustrations, slides, videos, or dolls. For example, if pictures — 12 — https://jiujournal.org/index.php/ijlls Vol.1 No.2 or dolls of the characters are shown while telling a fairy tale, the child will better imagine the story. This method develops imagination and figurative thinking in children. It is especially effective for young children, because they remember what they see faster. Also, visual aids attract the child's attention and prevent the lesson from becoming boring.  Oral method  The oral method is based on the transmission of folklore examples through words. In this method, the educator tells fairy tales expressively, explains proverbs or reads riddles. In this process, tone of voice, pauses, emphasis and facial expressions play a very important role. A fairy tale told through expressive speech has a stronger effect on the child. The child, having heard the events, describes them in his mind and tries to think independently. This method develops children's hearing, speech richness and memory for memorization. In addition, the oral method teaches the child a listening culture. He learns to listen carefully to others, answer questions and express his opinion.  Practical method  The practical method is based on the direct active participation of children. In this method, children are not only listeners, but also act themselves. For example, staging fairy tales, performing roles, organizing a puppet theater are included in the practical method. This method increases children's selfconfidence, teaches them to act freely on stage, and develops their creative abilities. By playing the role of a hero, the child tries to understand his character. This forms empathy, that is, the ability to feel for others. The practical method is especially useful for active and mobile children. Because they perceive learning through movement well.  Interactive method — 13 — https://jiujournal.org/index.php/ijlls Vol.1 No.2  The interactive method is aimed at actively involving children in the lesson process. In this method, there is constant communication between the educator and the children. Processes suc (...truncated)
