We want to thank Bernard Evans, who alerted us that
some of our figures in Frost & Beard (2007) violate
Schreinermakers’ laws. Reactions (10), (11), (12) and (13)
are the reactions of the invariant points and should not be
shown as vertical continuous lines in Figs 3, 4c and 5b. We
drew them on these figures as vertical lines to let the reader
visualize the temperatures at which the dehydration reactions occur and obviously did not think of the consequences to the phase diagram. Fortunately, this error has
no effect on our arguments, but still it is embarrassing to
include something in our paper that is not PC (petrologically correct) and we thank Bernard for pointing this out.
In Fig. 1 we include revised versions of Figs 3, 4c, and 5b
that are PC.
