Activities related to teaching and learning follow the guidelines of the Permendiknas-based educational units, specifically the use of learning implementation plans (RPPs). This study used an observational data gathering method with a qualitative descriptive research design. According to the study's findings, MTsN 2 Medan is a school with excellent facilities for both instruction and learning. The infrastructure offered is in line with what students require to learn. The curriculum is implemented using the guidelines set forth by Permendikbud. The standards of the learning process are also followed by the teaching and learning activities.

Keywords: Observation, Learning Process, Education INTRODUCTION Education is the knowledge, abilities, and customs of a community that are passed down from one generation to the next via instruction, training, or study. Acquiring education from primary school to tertiary education is crucial as it's a requirement for this government to advance. Essentially, the goal of education is to mold a person's personality so they can become better members of society and individuals. PLP coursesxare a processxof observation or observation, practice, or apprenticeship carried out by undergraduate or Bachelor of Education students in order to deepen the components of teaching and learning activities and administration of educational and/or educational staff in schools, in accordance with No. 55 of 2017 Permenristekdikti regarding teacher education standards. PLP is a program designed to help aspiring educators identify, assess, and perhaps solve problems that they see in schools (Usman & Maruf, 2017). One of the courses that FITK students at North Sumatra State Islamic University must study in order to earn a bachelor's degree is Introduction to the Schooling Field. Through a series of in-class activities, PLP requires teaching students to obtain practical experience in the field as future educators. PLP equips students with the professional knowledge and abilities they will need to research, observe, and analyze situations or realities encountered in the field through lectures. To put it simply, the PLP course serves as a teachingxand learningxtool for studentsxto help them become focused scholars. It also allows them to observe, study, and gain a deeper understanding of various learning components, such as the planning, execution, and reporting of teaching and learning activities, as well as education management, educational administration, and community relations (Asrial et al., 2018). During a phase of PLP I implementation, students conducted in-person observations at the school using a variety of methods, including looking at institution's physical layout, history, culture, and administration, as well as its profile. It is intended that students will gain a holistic understanding of education through PLP. In order to gather useful feedback, this study was carried out to ascertain the outcomes of the PLP implementation at MTsN 2 Medan, particularly in the area of English instruction. This research has implications for PLP managers, helping them to improve the program and make it more equipped to deliver professional teachers. RESEARCH METHOD This article uses a type of research called qualitative descriptive. Research that explains an object or event as thoroughly as possible without making any changes to the event or thing under study is known as qualitative descriptive research (Ali Sadikin, 2019). In order to gather information about an overview of the learningxprocess and activitiesxthat took placexat MTsN 2 Medan, observations and interviews with parties from the organization were conducted for this study. Words and deeds make up qualitative research; supplementary data, such as Jurnal Ilmu Sosial, Humaniora dan Seni (JISHS) Vol.02 No. 01 Oktober – Desember (2023) 110 Jurnal Ilmu Sosial, Humaniora dan Seni (JISHS) Vol. 2 No. 1 Oktober-Desember 2023 Hal. 110-112 http://jurnal.minartis.com/index.php/jishs ISSN : 2963-5802 documents, makes up the remaining portion. Teachers, students, and the activities that take place at MTsN 2 Medan are the subjects of this study. Snowball sampling was employed in the research subject selection procedure. The process of finding, picking, and collecting samples in a continuous network or chain of relationships from one source to another in order to supplement the data already gathered is known as the snowball sampling methodology (Nina Nurdiani, 2014). The reason for carrying out this activity was the realization that other sources of data were required to complete the description that could not be obtained from a single source (Sugiyono, 2015). The researcher occupies a quitexcomplicatedxposition in this qualitative descriptive research because he directly becomes the data collection tool himself in everyxdata collection carriedxout. The main instrumentsxin this study are observationxand interviewxguidelines. Therefore, researchersxplay a directxrole in planning, implementing, collectingxdata, analyzing, interpreting data, concludingxthe results of the dataxobtained, and discussingxand interpreting conclusions. For several weeks, during PLP I activities, researchers gathered data at MTsN 2 Medan. Observation from the outcomes of observations made, gathering of school data from interviews with TU staff, and interviews with the Principal and Teachers at MTsN 2 Medan were the three phases of data collection that the researchers carried out. Observasi Keadaan Madrasah Wawancara Kepala Sekolah dan Guru-guru Wawancara Staf TU Data Picture 1. Data Collection Process PLP I MTsN 2 Medan's physical shape was the main subject of observations, which were conducted to gather information on things that researchers could see with their own eyes. Interviews are done with TU employees, deputy principals, and teacher (...truncated)
