were announced on the Azabu University and JSPS websites on 24 November 2022 and 14 April 2023, respectively.
The editors and the publisher became aware of the findings
in November 2023. The investigative committees of Azabu
University and JSPS raised concerns about Figures 1–5, and
the corresponding author was unable to provide sufficient
evidence to support their scientific validity. The investigative committee of Azabu University also concluded that the
third author had been inappropriately listed as a co-author
after acceptance of the article, without having contributed
to the research or the preparation of the manuscript, and
without their consent. The authors do not agree with this
retraction.
